Monitoring during excavation of water pipeline.
Within the first field (Area 1, south of the Nar) several fragments of burnt flint were recovered from a subsoil deposit (see NHERs 19880-19882 for details of similar material previously recovered in this field). A number of potentially archaeologically significant features were also identified in north-east corner of this field, including undated ditches and a late post-medieval (perhaps modern) structure with related deposits.
No finds or features were identified in the fields to the north of the Nar (Areas 2 and 3).
