February to April 2004. Geophysical Survey. Field 9, Area Q.
A magnetic susceptibility survey was carried out over the entire field and a gradiometer survey was undertaken within one small, discrete area.
Magnetic susceptibility readings were generally low and relatively stable across the field. One enhanced area was identified near the western boundary, indicating a possible spread of material in the topsoil. The gradiometer survey targeted this area, but did not identify any archaeological features. The only anomaly detected was attributed to modern cultivation.
See report (S1) for further details.
