2004. Earthwork Rapid Identification Survey.
Norfolk Ancient Woodland Historic Environment Rapid Identification Survey Pilot Study.
Woodrising Wood:
Apart from the south boundary, the bank and ditches surrounding the wood appear convincing wood banks of early medieval date.
The northernmost is the best preserved.
A fine north to south internal bank and ditch is also likely to be contemporary.
Various small regular depressions look to be modern whilst more irregular larger ones may be in part natural and or extraction pits.
