Map

Low Road, Forncett St Peter.

Probably 17th century timber framed house with black pantile roof, south end with slightly higher roofline beyond offcentre stack; this end alone has attic. Present windows 19th century, also gabled dormer to west.
Information from (S1).
[1] told E. Rose (NLA) that the south end was of higher quality timbering internally; on the north end some rafters retain their bark. This suggests the usual pattern of the taller end beyond the stack being the parlour cell; this might indicate a converted hallhouse but the pattern continued into the 17th century. He also stated there is a cellar. The dormer bears a Sun fire insurance plaque.
