Map

Small tollhouse, known as Tollbar, in angle of Pincushion Drove and Wisbech Road. Rectangular; single storey rendered exterior.
(S1) shows no building here but shows Pincushion Drove as a dotted line.
(S2) shows a building on this site, unnamed, and Pincushion Drove as Old Bardolph Drove.
(S3) does not show the tollhouse but marks Old Bardolph House at the other end of the drove.
This raises a question, was this really a tollhouse or a lodge for Old Bardolph House?
E. Rose (NLA), 23 September 2003.
