Terrace of six houses built in 1858 for J H Gurney, owner of the Catton Hall Estate. Red brick, in Flemish bond, slate roof. Each house has lobby entrance and two rooms. Two storeys, 10 window range, each house has central door. Platband and dentilled eaves. Five ridge stacks made by Guntons. Interiors had winding stairs between front and rear rooms; kitchens to rear, some retain original grates, as do front rooms and upper floor. Pantry off kitchen. Ornate iron railings along street. Stated to be the only known Information from (S1).
