Summary

This complicated timber-framed house has a central section dating to the late medieval period and has a cross passage plan. A grand and ornate parlour block was added in the late 16th century and this retains its painted decoration. The low end was rebuilt to a larger scale in the mid 17th century. Interestingly, a witch bottle was found in the hearth.
