Map

7 January 2004. Visit.
Two storey building with steep gabled roof of black glazed pantiles, eaves on paired shaped brackets.
Street façade of four sash windows in mid 19th century red brick front; small shop with pilasters and entablature to 69a, 71 has pilastered doorcase.
Rear wing (to side alley) of 69a is rendered and gabled to rear; has very large first floor casement, probably once a loft door.
Probably early 18th century core.
In addition to the above, at far end of rear wing of 69a a small area of plinth level with the gable stack is not rendered; it is of flint with early post medieval bricks on top.
The stack is set axially.
This tends to confirm a date of about 1700 for this wing at least.
The street front is indeed a 19th century cladding.
