Summary

Metal-detecting between 2003 and 2023 recovered undatable copper alloy casting waste; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton and a range of other, undatable and Iron Age to post-medieval objects. These metal finds include an undated lead weight and composite lead and copper alloy unidentified object; a probable Iron Age harness fitting; Roman brooches and a copper alloy pin; Early Saxon brooches, wrist clasps and a button; a Middle/Late Saxon hooked tag; medieval and post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval thimble or sewing ring, scabbard chape and incomplete possible cosmetic set; medieval/post-medieval purse loop, lead spindle whorls and lead weight and post-medieval book fittings, a rotary key and arm from pair of dividers.
