Summary

Metal detecting in 2002 and 2003 recovered part of the rim of a medieval copper alloy cauldron with soot on the outside. Also found were fragments of medieval and post medieval pottery.

2002 to 2003. Metal detecting amongst late post medieval and recent metal objects.
Finders' field WB3.
Rim sherd of cast copper alloy cauldron, sooted externally, diameter 250mm. 14th to 16th century.
Strap handle reduced sandy pottery with pinkish grey exterior, probably unglazed Grimston. 12th to 13th century (weight 44g).
Body sherd late medieval/Transitional or micaceous Glazed Red Earthenware pottery (5g).
