Summary

Metal detecting in 2002 and 2003 recovered a fragment of Roman pottery, a medieval copper alloy buckle frame and a medieval ring, possibly also from a buckle.

2002 to 2003. Metal detecting amongst late post medieval and recent metal objects.
Finders' field WB6.
Roman pottery sherd, micaceous, reduced with oxidised interior, greyish brown exterior over oxidised margin and under patches of white slip.Two horizontal grooves (weight 2g).
Copper alloy double looped medieval buckle frame, both loops oval, Iron staining on bar. 22 by 17mm. 15th century.
Medieval copper alloy ring, ovoid section, interior diameter 30mm. Straight part on outer edge showing made in multiple mould. Possibly buckle frame. Late 14th to 15th century.
