Map

Windmill Hill, 18 Hindringham Road.
House, known as Windmill Hill; late 18th to early 19th century. Flint and brick, pantile roof, hipped to south. One storey, dentilled cornice. Three window bays plus off centre doorway. Sash windows with glazing bars except for centre first floor, Gothick.

Barn attached to east (counted as separate listed building). 17th/18th century brick and flint. Gabled pantile roof. Large central cart doors, later buttresses, slit windows. Late 19th cartshed adjoins with flint and brick walls and cast iron columns.
Information from (S1).

North Norfolk District Council add that the house windows by the door are cast iron products of the Walsingham Foundry. The door has been altered in the 20th century, but there are above it what seem to be fossil brick quoins suggesting the house has been extended.See photograph (S1). This photograph also suggests a post listing south addition to the house. Does the fact that the house is gable on to the street indicate that it was inserted in an older street frontage?
