Summary

An undated penannular earthwork bank is visible on 1943 aerial photographs. It is possibly of post medieval or World War Two date. This feature had been levelled by 1946.

Earthworks of a pennannular bank are visible on aerial photographs (S1). This feature has an external diameter of 20m with a large west facing entrance. A smaller break in the bank is present on the northeast side. The function of this feature is uncertain, although it is possible that it is a World War Two defence feature, or of an earlier post medieval to modern date. It had been levelled by 1946 (S2). A smaller but similar feature, possibly a World War Two light anti aircraft gun emplacement, is recorded 190m to the north (NHER 38605).
