16 October 2003. Field Observation.
Ground floor interior briefly seen by E. Rose (NLA).
Westernmost room has chamfered east to west ceiling beam.
Wall between this room and centre room now reduced to open studwork screen on sillbeam.
Two studs have a plethora of circular holes in roughly vertical columns, such as those that have perplexed archaeologists in Sussex buildings.
It is not entirely certain however that these studs are in their original places.
E. Rose (NLA), 21 October 2003.
