Summary

A decoy pond in use from the 17th century to the 19th century. It is visible as an earthwork on visualised data from a lidar survey flown in 2017-18. It is likely that the earthwork still survives.

The post medieval duck decoy described above is visible as an earthwork on visualised data from a lidar survey flown in 2017-18 (S2). The location and form of the earthwork corresponds well with its depiction on Acle Tithe map (S3). Given that the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is probable that the earthwork still survives.
