Full Description
October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Two quite broad stretches of bank with some narrow ditches associated are visible on CUCAP aerial photographs from 1973 (S1), AAF aerial photographs from 1978 (S2) and OS aerial photographs from 1970 (S3). The date and origin of these features are unknown. The site is centred on NGR TF9435 4070, with the banks aligned approximately north to south. One of these banks is quite straight while the other curves. The more northern (and straight) bank runs from NGR TF9434 4975 to TF9434 4071, while the more southern (curved) bank runs from NGR TF9435 4070 to TF9433 4066.
The ditches are mainly on a different alignment and they are much narrower. It seems possible that they are actually to do with drainage.
