Full Description
June 2004, Norfolk NMP.
A number of undated ditches, some of which may define part of an enclosure, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-2), principally centred at TG 2053 3733. The ditches are undated but seem likely to be associated with the medieval site (NHER 38618) to their west. Other interpretations are possible, however, and the ditches are not necessarily contemporary. Nevertheless, a number of them do perhaps define the southwest end of a rectilinear enclosure centred at TG 2053 3735. This measures at least 55m long and 42.5m wide. It should be noted that due to the difficulties of rectifying oblique aerial photograph (S2) some of the ditches were sketched onto the map and their location is approximate.
See (S1-2).
