Map

April 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Group of cropmark linear ditches, visible on BKS vet aerial photographs from 1988 (S1). These ditches, which possibly define rectilinear, enclosed areas of varying sizes, from 75 x 50m to potentially 80 x 100m. The ditches appear extremely wide, up 10m across in places. This may be the result of the spreading or disturbance of these features. It is possible that these enclosures relate to settlement, however it may be a field system. The size of the ditches and the regularity of the layout may indicate a late date, possibly medieval.
S. Massey (NMP), 23 April 2002.
