Map

April 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Small co-joined group of linear features, visible on 1946 RAF aerial photographs (S1). Defined by which is a rectilinear enclosure, 23m by 18m. This has several co-joined features. Sections of ditch are also visible to the immediate east, these probably also relate to enclosed areas. Some caution must be applied to these cropmarks as the linears do in part coincide with the agricultural tramlines. The date of the site is unknown, however, to the immediate east is the location for a multitude of prehistoric and historic finds (SMR 28850), including a Iron Age gold coin hoard and a large quantity of Romano-British material. It is possible that the cropmark relate to that period.
S. Massey (NMP), 23 April 2002.
