Summary

A 17th century two storey timber framed house, later subdivided but now restored and recombined, with a pantiled roof. Only number 27 has some original windows, the rest being later replacements. The west end of the building is weatherboarded.

Listing Description:
"House. 17th century timber framed, altered and roughcast. Low pitched gable-ended roof of pantiles. Two storeys. Four windows. No. 25 all 20th century casements, ground floor with glazing bars and fielded panel door with hood on shaped brackets."

May 2004.
Noted in passing that the main stack is offcentre towards the west; there is also a stack on the east gable wall. One first floor mullioned window is in line with the stack.

July 2005.
Very brief inspection revealed that the 17th century aspects of the building including the two stacks had been inserted into an older timber frame, but the date of this is not yet apparent. 17th century child’s shoe found hidden in fireplace.
