Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 16 June 2021.

However (S2) in file says that the date of construction is 1842, by William Hall, carter. Chalk inscriptions in roof by carpenters are dated 1842. Church authorities rented the buildings before buying the chapel outright in 1858 and the houses in 1883 intending to demolish the latter to extend the church, but in fact they remained until 1984 when they were internally altered to serve church purposes.
