Full Description
July 2004. Excavation.
Excavation on site of new sewerage pumping station. Contexts 1-109.
Revealed gullies and pits of 12th to 14th century date, together with an alignment of undated postholes defining the location of a fence, and probably representing part of a farmyard. Artefacts were moderately numerous and included domestic pottery and other items and structural fittings, perhaps suggesting the proximity of medieval dwellings.
