Full Description
December 1995. Trial Trench.
Evaluation of proposed development site.
Revealed only pits and a posthole, and perhaps a pond containing post medieval building material. Probably indicates that lowering of ground level to form bowling green had removed archaeological layers.
See report (S1) for further details. The results of this work are also summarised in (S2).
Previously recorded under NHER 9200.
E. Rose (NLA), 10 September 1997.
