Map

June 2003. NMP.
A series of undated linear ditches, probably representing field boundaries, visible as cropmarks on 1988 Ordnance Survey vertical aerial photographs.
The features are largely aligned in a north to south direction although the westernmost ditch appears to curve around towards the north-east at its northern end (S1). These features are likely to be former land boundaries. They are not in exact alignment with the modern field system, which may suggest that they are of some antiquity, and may date from the medieval period or earlier.
M. Brennand (NMP) 3 June 2003.
