Map

August 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of a medieval to post medieval trackway are visible on aerial photographs (S1-2). These cropmarks were previously recorded as part of NHER 21773. Two intermittent parallel ditch cropmarks extend for 170m between TG36832995 and TG37003022 on a southwest to northeast alignment. The most complete sections of the trackway are at the northeast end, with the southwestern part represented only by a single ditch along its northwest side. These cropmarks appear to correspond to a trackway marked on Faden's 1797 map of Norfolk (S3).The alignment of these cropmarks is also similar to that of medieval to post medieval field boundaries and enclosures recorded further to the south (NHER 38727). The possible trackway also appears to lead directly towards the cropmark of a medieval to post medieval post mill (NHER 38616) at its southwest end.
(S1 to 3).
