Map

August 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of a possible trackway of undated or medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs ((S1) to (S2)). These cropmarks were previously recorded as part of NHER 21773 and are centred on TG 3771 3006. Two intermittent parallel ditches 11m apart are present on a southwest to northeast alignment for 240m between TG 3763 2997 and TG 3779 3013. It is possible that they represent a trackway of medieval to post medieval date. The alignment of these ditches is similar to medieval to post medieval field boundaries 600m to the southwest (NHER 38727). It also appear to be roughly parallel to a possible undated trackway located 1.3km to the southeast (NHER 39170). Other, possibly related, field boundaries are present to the south (NHER 38740). The northern part of the trackway cuts across the ring ditch of a probable Bronze Age round barrow (NHER 38736). An undated isolated section of ditch, adjacent to the trackway but on a slightly more north to south alignment, is included in this group of cropmarks.
