Summary

A mid 19th century flint and brick hotel with pilasters and lunette windows. The hotel replaced the New Inn, erected at Model Farm for visitors to the sheep shearings held at Holkham during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Mid 19th century inn.
Pebble flint, gault brick dressings, hipped tiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. Six bays, grouped 1:2:1:2 divided by pilasters, also at corners. Flat arched sash windows. Soldier course at first floor, moulded modillion eaves. Off-centre door on north side with console canopy; similar door central to east wall. Symmetrical chimneys. Lunette windows and round headed door. Brick and flint boundary wall and gate piers.

This inn replaced the New Inn at Model Farm erected for sheep shearing visitors, (S2).
