Summary

In 2004 an undated ditch was recorded during the monitoring of groundworks at this site. A prehistoric flint flake and a post-medieval pot sherd were the only artefacts recovered during this work.

June-July 2004. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of excavation of foundation trenches for new dwelling. Contexts 1-16.
Revealed a sequence of natural and recent depositis along with a ditch. The ditch remains undated, though it is not depicted on early maps of the vicinity dating back to the early 19th century. Finds include a single prehistoric flint flake and a 19th century sherd of pottery.
