Map

October 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of a post medieval footpath and other undated ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1-3). These cropmarks are centred on TG 34703128. A double ditch cropmark extends for 80m between TG 34693134 and TG 34743140. This follows the course of a footpath marked on the 1844 Ridlington tithe map (S4) which could have an earlier origin. A single ditch 150m to the northeast, which crosses an undated square enclosure (NHER 15912), probably represents a continuation of this footpath. Further to the south around TG 34703126 are isolated linear ditches of unknown date. Some of these at the southern limit of the cropmarks share a similar alignment to the footpath. It is possible that these ditches are also of medieval to post medieval date, although they are not marked on the tithe map (S4).
