Map

October 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated linear ditches, probably multi-period field boundaries, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred TG 34113050. Ditches in the west of the group, around TG 33873058, are aligned west - east and north - south. Other ditches on this alignment are present further to the east. In the southeast of this group of cropmarks are three parallel ditches that share a southwest - northeast alignment. These include a double ditch in the south and an intermittent ditch that extends between TG 34043025 and TG 34373051 and crosses several modern field boundaries. Further ditches are present on different alignments. The date of all of these cropmarks is unknown, although none correspond directly to the modern field pattern. It is likely that they relate to field boundaries dating from a range of periods.
