Full Description
October 2004. Norfolk NMP.
A pair of World War Two weapons pits are visible to the north of Overstrand Road (S1). A military training site was located on Small Hoped Hill to the immediate south (NHER 38921). It is likely that these pits were dug as part of training exercises associated with that site. The site is centred on TG 2359 4092 and the pits are 6m apart and the measuring 2-3m by 1.5m. The pits are not visible in 1942 (S2).
