Listed in (S1) as late 17th century in English bond brickwork, pantile roof and end stacks.
Three unit plan with rear outshut and central stairs; façade of 3 bays 2 storeys with central pilastered doorcase and two bay windows all of 1840.
Outshut heightened in 19th century.
Ground floor has cased 17th century beams, first floor has chamfered beams; 17th century roof of butt purlins with collars removed.
19th century cornices, doors and fireplaces

See (S2) in file, which suggests date of 1740 to 1760, altered in 1820.
The details suggest that the date given in (S1) is more likely to be correct.
In 1913 the house was confusingly sold under the name of Welbeck Cottage, although this is now the name of NHER 40886.
