Summary

This two bay cottage is a rare timber framed building from the 18th century. It was altered in the nineteenth century with brick cladding and sash windows. The area to the rear was probably developed at a later date. In 1858 it was described as a dwelling house and a shoemaker's shop.

One of a range of three timber framed houses dating to the late 17th century, refronted in brick in the early 19th century. Pantiled roof with black glazed pantiles to rear.

November 2003. Building survey.
This two bay cottage appears to be a rare timber-framed survival from the eighteenth century, perhaps because of the buildings either side giving additional support. It was altered in the nineteenth century with brick cladding and sash windows. The area to the rear was probably developed at a later date.
