Cropmarks of undated and medieval to post medieval enclosure and ditch cropmarks are visible on aerial photographs to the north of Edingthorpe Church (S1-2). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3222 3326 and were previously recorded as part of NHER 16013. Ditches defining two sides of a possible rectilinear enclosure are present at TG 3229 3334. This enclosure is positioned on a northwest to southwest and southwest to northeast alignment and measures at least 56m by 25m. Its alignment is similar to that of the undated trackway (NHER 39098) 40m to its southeast, but they cannot be connected with any degree of confidence. Two west to east aligned ditch cropmarks are present in the southern part of this group. One of these extends westwards from the northwest corner of the churchyard, with the second aligned parallel to it 63m to the north. It is likely that both of these ditches represent medieval to post medieval field boundaries. Two roughly parallel north to south aligned ditches are present on the north of the group at TG 3225 3337. These ditches, which may represent a double ditched field boundary, do not correspond with the extant or cropmark field systems and are of unknown date. A further two undated ditches, probably also field boundaries, are present in the western part of the group at TG 3211 3323.
