Map

December 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of an incomplete and undated, but possibly Iron Age to Roman, rectilinear enclosure are visible on aerial photographs (S1-2). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3284 3336 and were previously recorded as part of NHER 36764. Two sides of a rectilinear enclosure are present forming an L-shape on a northwest to southeast and southwest to northeast alignment. The visible extent of the cropmarks is 35m by 25m. The ditch is up to 2.5m wide and has an entrance with swollen terminals located in the northeast side of the enclosure. This cropmark is overlain by a rectangular enclosure and field system of probable Roman date (NHER 39110). Although this incomplete enclosure is undated it is possible that it is of an earlier Roman or Iron Age date.
