Map

December 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated linear ditches and banks, possibly field boundaries, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3358 3389. An intermittent linear ditch extends for up to 116m between TG 3343 3388 and TG 3353 3394. Two roughly west to east aligned banks and a ditch are located in the centre of this group of cropmarks around TG 3365 3391. The two banks extend for 100m and 44m and the ditch, located in between these, is 68m long. In the east of the group a roughly north to south aligned ditch is located at TG 3384 3391. Two sections of ditch are crossed by a modern field boundary at TG 3339 3381. These two ditches appear to be aligned parallel to a sinuous field boundary 92m to their north which is marked on the 1827 Bacton enclosure map (S2) and later maps. It is possible that these two ditches are also of post medieval or possibly medieval date. None of the other ditches and banks in this group of cropmarks correspond to the post medieval field pattern and are all undated.
