The site of a post medieval lime kiln and associated structure or limehouse is visible on aerial photographs situated on the edge of a large marl pit to the west of Stony Hill, Cromer (S1). The site is centred on TG 2274 4180 and consists of a circular platform, possibly edged with stonework, measuring 8m across. To the immediate west of this is a rectangular structure 6m by 3.5m. These structures are marked on both the Ordnance Survey 1st edition (1879-1886, 6") (S2) and 2nd edition maps (1902-7, 25") (S3).
