Map

December 2004. Norfolk NMP.
The site of a post medieval to modern brickworks, with associated brick kilns, clay and brickearth pits. The site is centred on TG 2113 4009. This brickworks is not depicted on the Ordnance Survey First edition map (1879-86, 6") (S1) and therefore must have been constructed inbetween 1886 and 1902 and 1907, as it is present on the Second edition (1902-7, 25") (S2). Elements of this site are visible on aerial photographs (S3), however these were not mapped as part of the NMP project. Reference to the Ordnance Survey Second edition map (1902-7, 25") (S2) provides superior detail of the site than that visible on the aerial photographs.
S. Massey (NMP), 29 December 2004.
