Map

January 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of a linear ditch, probably a post medieval field boundary, is visible on aerial photographs (S1). This cropmark is centred on TG 3288 3226. A linear ditch cropmark extends for up to 300m between TG 3273 3223 and TG 3303 3229. The alignment of this ditch is similar to that of the post medieval field pattern and it is likely to belong to that period. However, this boundary is not shown on and 1827 map of Witton, so it had presumably been removed by that date (S2). The cropmark is cut by a modern gas pipeline.
