Full Description
January 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of a post medieval field boundary ditch is visible on aerial photographs (S1-2). This cropmark is centred on TG 3271 3205. A boundary ditch defining three sides of a trapezoidal field is visible as cropmarks. The northern side of this field is defined by extant boundaries. This field boundary is marked on the 1827 Witton enclosure map and the 25 inch 2nd edition Ordnance Survey map (S3-4). Medieval and post medieval pottery has been found in the vicinity (NHER 6926 context 4).
