Summary

Two Bronze Age palstaves, one socketed axehead were found during a metal detecting rally. The axes are probably part of a dispersed Bronze Age hoard. Bronze Age casting waste has also been found during metal detecting.

25 September 2004. Metal detecting rally.
Two Bronze Age palstaves ((S1) and (S2)) and one Late Bronze Age socketed axehead (S3). Part of a dispersed hoard recovered during a metal detecting rally. The axes were found in a line about 7.6m (25 feet) apart. A third palstave was also found, but not seen or reported.
