Summary

A horizontally laid branch and one piece of wattle were found in association with a large mammal rib lying loose on the sand beach between Brancaster and Scolt Head Island. The two pieces of timber could have been part of a trackway or a fish trap. This was recorded as part of the Norfolk Rapid Coastal Survey.

Inter-tidal survey (Environmental Zone 8), Context 807:
A horizontally laid branch and one piece of wattle were found in association with a large mammal rib lying loose on the sand beach between Brancaster and Scolt Head Island. The two pieces of timber could have been part of a trackway leading from Brancaster Staithe to Scolt Head Island or part of a fish trap similar to those found previously at Holme next the Sea.
