Summary

A possible World War Two defensive structure may be visible on aerial photographs in the dunes to the north of what is now the Sea Breeze campsite, Eccles-on-Sea. It is possible that this is a camouflaged gun emplacement or pillbox. This structure may form part of a chain of coastal defences and pillboxes all along this section of coast, such as NHER 25958-60, 32466.
