Summary

A clinker built wooden wreck was located north of the modern sea wall. It was embedded in estuarine mud. It may have been used a channel revetment after its abandonment. It was identified during the Norfolk Rapid Coastal Survey.

Inter-tidal survey (Environmental Zone 26), Context 616:
A clinker built wooden wreck/hulk was located about 5m north of the modern sea wall. It was embedded in estuarine mud and measured 5.30m long (17 foot) and 2m (6 ft) wide. It may have been used a channel revetment after its abandonment.

The wreck/hulk was not visible during a field visit. It may have been removed completely or in part.
