Summary

A Neolithic or modern flint handaxe-shaped implement was found in cliffs in 2004. It shoud be noted that this is not the only such object to be recovered in the area. In around 2007-2008 another handaxe-like implement of either Neolithic or modern date was found on the beach opposite the Hopton Holiday Village (NHER 60548).

Inter-tidal survey (Environmental Zone 27), Context 191:
A Neolithic or modern flint axe was found within an alcove in the Corton cliffs. It was located loose on the sloping face of a sand cliff above the level of the sea wall.
