Full Description
January 2003. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of linear features are clearly visible on 1994 OS vertical (S1) and 1977 NLA oblique (S2) aerial photograph. These ditch cropmarks appear to form some sort of complex. There are two sides (north and west) of a possible enclosure located at TG0194 4161 (centre), these run from TG0195 4161 to TG0194 4161 to TG0194 4159. A short distance to the south-east, located around NGR TG0200 4157, there are further cropmarks. Here there appears to be three linears forming three sides of a hexagon, possibly part of an enclosure of some form. These ditches run from TG0201 4152 through TG0201 4155 and TG0198 4158 to TG0195 4158. There are other shorter linears abutting and running near to these main ones. Two of these additional ditched features are curved. These are located at NGR TG0199 4157 and TG0198 4157.
The date and origin of these features are uncertain.
H. Clare (NMP), 3 February 2003.
