Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 2005 failed to recover any metal objects but a Mesolithic/Neolithic flint axehead was found in a soil heap. The soil of this imported soil was not known.

Found in soil heap at TF 9265 2571, in yard of Manor Farm. Source of soil unknown, but likely to have been from the area of the farm.
Mesolithic or Early Neolithic axehead roughout.
