Summary

Archaeological observations here in 2005 rediscovered the recently buried 19th century 'Spanish Steps' that run up the mound. In addition, various sherds of medieval pottery were recovered from the topsoil and the make up.

Monitoring of construction of two display boards on Norwich Castle Mound. Contexts 1-5 used.
A few fragments of medieval pottery were recovered from the make-up and topsoil, moreover the recently buried 19th-century 'Spanish Steps' were rediscovered during the works.
No other features or deposits of note were encountered.
