Summary

In 2005 a walkover survey along the proposed route of the Brandon Bypass identified a number of large pits close to the A1065. They are also clearly visible on the 0.5m resolution lidar data imagery. These features may be post-medieval, although they could be evidence of more recent activity.

Assessment of land on proposed route of Brandon Bypass.
The walkover survey along the Norfolk section of the route identified a series of very large, probable extraction pits along the eastern edge of the A1065. These features may be post-medieval, although they could be evidence of more recent activity.
