Map

June 2005. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated linear ditches, probably field boundaries, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 5047 1210 and lie in the shallow valley of the Pickerill Holme stream at 7m OD. Four isolated ditch cropmarks are present in this group. Two roughly north to south aligned ditches located on the western side of the group possibly form part of the same alignment. The northernmost of these is cut by a modern field boundary. The other two ditches are roughly northwest to southeast aligned. The relationship of all of these ditches to each other, and to the Iron Age to Roman trackway and field boundaries to the south (NHER 27382), is uncertain.
J. Albone (NMP), 9 June 2005.
